Stay informed on proposed bills that could affect your business. Each bill is labeled as a Senate Bill (SB) or House Bill (HB) followed by a number.

HB 5609: An Act Concerning Retirement Benefits and Workers’ Compensation Benefits
Visit cga.ct.gov and use the Quick Bill Search tool to find bill language, scheduled committee meetings, and public hearing dates.

Use the Find Your Legislator tool to search by address and access contact details for state and federal officials.

Once identified, reach out to your local representative by phone or email. The Legislative Office Building provides direct lines to each caucus:

4. Participate in Public HearingsLegislative committees hold public hearings where businesses and individuals can submit testimony to influence decision-making. You can submit testimony in either written or verbal form.
